like newspapers, are self-regulated. Magazines may join IPSO or Impress – only
§Impress
is Leveson-compliant.
§MOJO has
chosen to join IPSO, as have the other Bauer publications
IPS0 (Independent Press Standards Organisation)
-IPSO is a regulation company for newspapers and magazines.
-They hold newspapers and magazines to follow certain rules to protect individual rights, uphold high standards of journalism.
- On the website you can find out about what they do, complain to them to give them indication on who to regulate, find out about the editors code, ruling, advice and harassment help, monitoring, news and how to join IPSO.
- The purpose of this regulation is to make sure magazines conform to certain rules in order to please the public/ audiences. Regulation ensures that the magazine is appropriate and refrains from the content of the magazine being inappropriate, offensive or rude to the public.
